I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student, independent researcher, writer, and hospitality leader interested in the relationship between work, identity, meaning, and psychological wellbeing.

The through-line
From hospitality leadership
toward counseling.
More than twenty years in hospitality leadership taught me to pay attention to the invisible work people carry: the emotional demands of service, the identities formed through work, the effect of schedules and hierarchies, and the small conditions that make a life more or less sustainable.
My transition into clinical mental health counseling grows from those observations. I am interested in what happens when a person’s inner life meets a workplace, a family, a culture, or a period of change—and in how thoughtful care can make room for a different way forward.
I am completing graduate study in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, preparing for supervised clinical practicum, and continuing independent research in occupational mental health, career development, psychological assessment, trauma, professional identity, and human flourishing.

How the work is held
Lifelong learning
Study without performance.
Books, coursework, supervision, and conversation are not ornaments around the work. They are the work’s continuing discipline.
Public service
Knowledge kept in relation.
Writing and teaching are ways of returning ideas to the communities and public questions from which they arose.
