Counseling gives the questions
a human scale.
After more than twenty years in hospitality leadership, I have chosen to focus my attention on how I can best support the mental health and wellbeing of people who too often have to fight to be seen, represented, or welcomed into care. My graduate training in clinical mental health counseling is one part of learning how to show up for that work with humility and skill.
My work gathers around work, meaning, identity, and psychological wellbeing. Counseling keeps those questions close to a person’s lived experience. Research helps me approach them carefully. Writing lets me stay with what cannot be reduced to a measure.
This site is a lifelong intellectual home for scholarship, writing, education, public service, and the projects that grow from them.
